750 SE Carolstar

This house has a lot going for you. This is what I would choose if I had to choose one from the six we saw today. It is also the biggest house. Maybe too big. You can live very comfortably without ever having to set foot in the basement. Here is what this house has of the list you gave me of your wishes.

-sitting room off the entrance that you can keep nice and picked up
-family room off the kitchen
-play room off of the family room
-close to the school
-four bedrooms upstairs all close together

I thought I knew how to post pictures on a blog in the order I want, but here I am with pictures in random order. The Remax listing had nice pictures, so I will mostly report on the layout. The Remax listing is using pictures from before the current resident put their stuff in, so some furniture placements may look different from my pictures.

As you enter the house, you see the grand staircase in front of you(pic 4 in the Remax listing), the office on the right(pic 3), and the formal living room on the left(pic 2). Walk through the formal living room, and there is the formal dining room. Once you are in the dining room the kitchen is on your right.

In this picture, Aunt Ruby's back is facing the opening to the formal dining room.

There is a walk-in pantry next to Aunt Ruby's right elbow in the above picture.

The kitchen has a eat-in space.

Next to the eat-in space is the family room(Remax pic 9).

Back to the dining room.

The laundry room is pretty spacious with lots of cupboards. It is located at the end of the hall to the right after you pass the office. The door to the garage is right next to it.

This is the right side of the yard. There is a little bit of flat part near the house and then a hill towards the fence, which is where you probably want your garden.

This is a fun play room they built above the garage. Go back to the family room picture(pic 9) and see the door in the back of the family room. The door leads to half a flight of stairs into this room from the left side of this picture. Then half a flight up (you see the railing for those stairs), and you are at the end of the upstairs hall. Aunt Ruby suggested that you put your washer and dryer in this room, and you will be so much closer to the bedrooms.

The basement is HUGE. There are two rooms for food storage. One has a furnace in it, so you would want the freezer and non perishable items. There is another one across the hall which would be perfect for other things.

Behind mom is where the bedroom and bathroom are. To the left of Joe is the food storage room, and to the right of him is where the above furnace room is.

Here is the rest of the yard. Cemented basketball area.

Closer picture of the office.

This is the master bath upstairs. Aunt Ruby mentioned that they used inexpensive material for the finishes like counter tops and cabinets for how grand this house is. You can see it here in the bathroom too. The good thing is that everything is very clean, just not upscale.

I think this was the bathroom in the basement, but I could be wrong. There is one bedroom in the basement with a bathroom next to it.
